WHICH STYLES COMPLEMENTS YOUR FIGURE BETTER: Chapter 2

In my previous article we looked at two figure- wise strategies. We will look at two more and I hope you will find your answers;

TALL AND HEAVY:  Choose something that run down your figure and balance your height.

STYLES THAT FLATTER

1. Trouser with hip details and cuffs

2. Double breasted unstructured jackets with wide lapel.

3. Blouses with fullness or tucks at  the shoulder seams.

4. Loose flowing dresses nipped at the waist.

5. Skirts with pleats or tucks

6. Horizontal details such as flap pockets or yoke seams

FABRICS THAT FLATTER

1. Highly textured surface e.g Woolen and linen

2.Medium to heavy weight fabrics in either crisp or soft fabrics.

3.  Bold prints, checks, plaid or stripes.

TALL AND HEAVY:  Select fabrics that softly skim your body, stream lining your figure and minimizing your weight.

STYLES THAT FLATTER

1. uncluttered styles with emphasis on vertical lines. 

2. Dresses with softly belted waistline, wrapped closing.

3. Straight leg trousers

4. Tunic length top.

FABRICS THAT FLATTER

1. Plain soft textures.

2. Medium weights

3. Medium scale plaids, prints or Stripes
